@wade

The picture quality is nice. I'm surprised.

The camcorder of the 80s has returned but now it's the size of a mobile.

heh.

I may consider one of those.

iTunes, Miro, Boxee, Plex

They all suck.

I need something less half baked than all those bits of garbage.

Anyone?

I preordred the N900 from Dell yesterday.

From what I hear they cancel most smartphone orders if you use a coupon.

I should know in 10 days.

But more importantly you enjoyed life and got to see the motherland.

I'm totally joking about the Motherland thing.

Tried blackra1n on my Touch 2G yesterday

Re: Films?

Surrogates / 3 stars / I forgot how the comic book went. It's a mindless action flick.

Zombieland / 4 stars / the transition to road trip movie with the other two people was a little disorienting but after 5 minutes of frustration I fell in love with the film. Like Whip It this is a coming of age comedy.

Whip It / 4 stars / Soon as the girls dressed up like idoiots and lied about going to the football game I knew the writer nailed the story of my teenage years.

Thinking about going to see D9 again before it exits the "theaters"

Re: iTunes 9 and iPhone 3.1.x ?

I believe the upgrade to 9.x broke my ability to use Floola with my nano....

:-(

Re: iTunes 9 and iPhone 3.1.x ?

September 24, 2009 by erice51

I'm really regret my upgrade to 9... made the jump to 9.0.1 which will hopefully stop my MBP from breaking my Touch every time I plug it in to charge.... I had sync disabled but the damn thing would reset my position within podcasts, mark everything new and then crash... grrrr

I dont use many apps. Many installed but most are not that compelling.

Facebook
Flixster
Flickr and Cooliris [ was piclens for firefox, covered on the AGP ]
TwitBird Pro and Echofon

and I email a lot of links to evernote

I may use RazorTV more in the future
I look at "Bookmarks" sometimes to poke through my Delicious bookmarks
Use Zyb Sync about once a month to keep my contacts synced with my E51

iTunes 9 and iPhone 3.1.x ?

September 12, 2009 by erice51

I'm watching the keynote from this week and wondering if anyone made the leap to iTunes9.

I've used the new "arrange your desktop" tool but jailbroken iPhones could always do that albeit in a more painful way.

iTunes LP sounds interesting but the devil's in the details.

Home sharing sounds like Simplify Media taken to an entirely new and splendid level.

Is it a great upgrade?

Maybe I should move to Sweden?

I'm thinking next year I want want the Nokia E72 and N900.

yes I'm greedy.

I only need pay for prescriptions.

Re: Films?

September 11, 2009 by erice51

I saw District 9 and perhaps it's my favorite film from the last couple years.

Enjoyed Inglorious Basterds

Did not enjoy 9 even though it was beautiful and the voice actors where good.

Took Whiteout off my list. The first comic book was good but the film looks like an action movie.

Watching "From Hell" this weekend based on the Allan Moore graphic novel.

Re: iPhone Tethering

August 31, 2009 by erice51

That's pretty cool. Best part about running over USB. They're forcing you to stay charged. hahah. I'm was using JoikuSpot on my E71 but now that I sold it I'm really missing VPN on my Touch 2G through my E71 as a router.

Re: My Geek Project - Using VirtualBox and Linux as a backup

August 30, 2009 by erice51

Great idea.

I'm a heavy virtualbox user but I've never tried that. I guess I'll see if it works in Snow Leopard and see how exporting works.
