About a week ago someone sent me this link which claims to be able to install the network profile that you need to enable tethering for your iPhone with having to jail break it.

So I went to the site and installed the profile for AT&T here in the USA.  It actually works, I have been able to set up both USB and bluetooth connectivity on my iPhone.  On top of that the it is actually pretty fast.

That's pretty cool. Best part about running over USB. They're forcing you to stay charged. hahah. I'm was using JoikuSpot on my E71 but now that I sold it I'm really missing VPN on my Touch 2G through my E71 as a router.

I use it from time to time on Vodafone here. The don't charge for tethering or make you jailbreak/use a dodgy hack. For once an aussie telco that's ahead of the game. :)

AT&T make you pay an extra $15-20 per month in addition to the $40 that we already pay for unlimited data.

Sucked in! Optus does that here, but of course none of the aussie telcos offer unlimited data. I get a whopping 250MB a month. So clearly I don't use tethering very much!

250Mb per month, I have had my phone for about 5 months now and I have never reset the stats page...

250Mb would not work to well for me.  I listen the XM satelite radio on my comute and sometimes to Pandora.

Hmm, I just went to the Vodafone website to see what they'd charge you for that amount of usage... and guess what? For the price I'm paying for 250MB they now give you 1GB/month. On the phone to my mate "Lara" (their automated telephone system thingy) right now to whinge, complain, and make a nuisance of myself until they upgrade me to the new plan! :)

@tom125 brilliant let is know how you get on.

I have just downloaded another app call ooTunes which basically enables you to listen to any radio station which has a live stream. This is brilliant for me as I am an Englishman in New York, I can now listen to all my favorite old radio stations from London on my walk to work.

It is $3.99 which is a little steep for an iPhone app, but it is one of those apps which actually works well, and does what the wrapper says.

Search Capability
