The kind of filetypes I get sent as a web-developer are astounding. Clients send every kind of obsolete file you can imagine. "Yes... our company logo is in fact Amiga IFF, that's not a problem right?"

That could be a useful site - but I'd be careful what I files I use it for.
I think that goes without saying. I think though that for some file in a weird format that doesn't have any sensitive data on it then this is great. The thing I like is the no brainer factor, zero thinking is awesome.
As long as the encoding or decoding is good quality or acceptable at least, then this is a great service. Especially for those files that are specific to an OS. Like one you don't have access to!
