Strange request for members

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask this first of the owner, but couldn´t find any contact info on these forumscrying

I have a really strange request to make of the members here.  I´m developing a new website to help Spanish and English language learners learn each others languages through the use of dual language texts with audio - volunteers send me in their mp3 recordings of themselves reading the texts provided on the page in their own language. I´m doing this site for free as a hobby.

What´s all this got to do with this podcast forum?  Well, I would love to have an Australian accent, I think that would be really interesting for my Spanish visitors,  and who better to send me a few mp3 files than people who know how to do podcasts.  grin

So, if you have a few moments to spare, and could help out by reading a few of the short English texts on the site and send me your recording so I can add it to the site - that would be great.  I always show my appreciation by adding the readers name in the volunteers section, with their accent and give a link on their name to a website if they like as a small thank you.

Make The rooster pronounce Dutch and Flemish words, that'll leave them scratching their heads.

Let me know if you need someone with a terrible Dutch accent instead. I have beterrrrr rrrrolling arrrrrrrs than a Scotsman.

@storyflip Thanks for contacting us here at the forums for the Aussie Geek Podcast. Pretty different forum here - There are a few moderators here but really the community "owns" the forum. So you will have some issues contacting the owner. Me - I am as close as you'll get to one, I am the host of the AGP, Onto your request.

Sure NP at all. What I would ask is that you email us at our show email address. You can get our contact details at the podcast homepage. Send us the text that you want us to recite and I'll be happy to attempt it for you. Also let me know the format that you want as in encoding details and I'll  record them and make them available to you easy!!

Good luck with your site!

Cheers

Dave

@WoollyMittens that's enough out of you...
