AGP
I had a cunning idea the other day whilst listening to AGP 022. The idea was for the AGP to start a database or list of the applications that you review or talk about on the show. Could start relativity simple and then could be added to over time. You could even start to give applications an AGP star rating! You could also include information such as the URL where the applications are avaliable! My main thought process behind this is to be able to search on your reviews or comment!
Just and Idea!
A good idea and one that could be easily put together by us fans using Google Docs and sharing with the AGP community.
However it would take someone with more time on their hands than I have to start the project. But once started everyone could add to it.
The other way would be to start an AGP wiki. Again the nice thing is the comunity could maintain and add to it with out the AGP "stars" (Dave, Cait & Keith) having to do much. We need them to stay focused on my favourite Podcast.
Hey guys we are listening to you but you have hit the nail on the head as far as time goes, it would be a big project :P
I want to keep the podcast as the focus and that is important to us as hosts as well as you guys. But to help you guys out as far as finding an app or a review - IE: on the podcast. You will notice that I make a particular point of tagging the shows well with lots of relevant key words. The second thing is that I always leave a description next to the app in the show notes, or the site that we are talking about. These two things combined make it relatively easy to find and search something again.
For example I know that until the GGP website died I was using it all the time to find apps that we had talked about on the show and it was not that hard and the tagging was not as good. Sad loss that list.... anyway as I was saying... and that was up top 90 podcasts and even more posts.
But we hear ya! I like the idea about rating or "staring" apps and sites and we may well start doing that. This is especially important as we have started out new format and apps reviews. I also like the idea of a wiki... it is just the up-keep that worries me. Although if someone from the communiity wanted to start it I would not have a problem with it. Only that I might not be able to actively monitor and maintain it.

I like the idea of the Wiki and as per the definition "Wiki's are used to create collaborative websites and to power community sharing sites"
I know that we already have moderators for the Forum so would not want to burden them with more work, that said I would be happy to throw my name into the hat to help moderate a Wiki for the AGP......

I am pretty sure we can. Isn't the whole concept behind a community to work together for the better good. Not sure that is proper English but I think you know what I mean. :)
