Just came across this site which is a new web search/content aggregator.  http://www.kosmix.com/

I've done a few random searches and it doesn't look too bad.  Anyone else come across it?

I've used it quite a bit, and works much better than Google. It takes a bit of getting used to while sifting through the information. Btw, Kosmix fetches information from multiple sites including Google. Omgili, Yahoo! Answers, SnappyFingers and Answerbag.

I did a search for The Rooster and got recipes for cooking it... very funny.

I have heard of it but not spent any time using the service. It actually brings up some interesting results. The top tag line is pretty descriptive of the results "Explore". Makes me feel like it is more of a discovery service than a real "search" engine. I mean you use Google for that right.

But I like it, it is going to be pretty hard to "beat" Google at search. I don't think this service tries to do that - that's a good thing because there is a certain appeal about discovery.

Thanks Matt!

Thanks Matt. Had a quick look and I liked the results.

Looks interesting - I like the way the results are presented.  I'm used to the random page of results google gives you, but this way of categorising them could catch on!

Very interesting.  Good job on the presentation.
