hi all
mattoid here. i'm 23yr old living in the south west of WA. i'm recently and therefore, happily married ;)
i work in the north driving large heavy things that carry lots of valuable stuff. umm. it's 2nd1 FIFO, if you know what that is you can probably figure out what i do for a living. anyway, it pays me well enough to be paying off my first home and having a little left over for my geek toys like this HP Pavilion tx 2000 tablet laptop :D without this i would be completely cut off for two weeks at a time and thats just not cool.

basically, i finished high school in '03, dropped all my math and science classes down from TEE in yr 11, couldn't be bothered/didn't see where it could lead. i guess i don't really regret doing it, i still graduated, went out got straight into the workforce and the rest is history...

as far as my interests in all thing computers and tech, all my life, my dad has exposed me to it all, from his c64 with optional cassette reader when i was young then my first "laptop" i was given when i was about 9yrs old and it was a NEC 8201 seen here, http://tinyurl.com/nec8201. on this 'beast' i was able to begin BASIC programming and from there i began building desktop PC's in an extra-curricular class after school. after that as i'm sure most of you can appreciate i was hooked on anything tech/computer.

i think i was about 13 or 14 when i got my own computer, in my bedroom with a 56kb dial-up modem :D lol good times eh. but seriously, even back then the internet really opened up so many possibilities....soo much porn... urgh umm...ahem, but i digress, yea...i'm a geek, i love helping my mates and work-colleagues out with tech and computer problems and you can always find me arguing with someone else about windows vs mac...just to get a stir ;)

hope to catch you all real soo around the forum. thanks for listening...if u did, and didn;t just scroll to the bottom think "bloody hell when will this guy shut up!?" if that's wat you did then...well i dont know what but shut up i will....right now...

@Dave 21, crikey. How old are you by the way if it's not a rude question?

@Herne, yup, it's a good prize!

@Mattoid, Ah, still at the "what happens if I press this" stage then?! Hope she doesn't start crashing and require an upgrade. :)

Me I am 36... This year we will be celebrating our errrr 14th'ish anniversary :)

I am happy with the model that I got. Although she does require a reboot every now and then. I find a nice trip away does the trick - helps avoid the BSOD...
