The only problem with the HUD idea is that it would be backwards... genus otherwise grin

Ha! Wouldn't you know. They even thought of that. The paid version comes with a "HUD-mode" it mirrors the screen and increases the contrast so you only see the dials and numbers. =)

Check it out here.

Hate to double post but I have also recently discovered a great app app.

http://www.bitrino.com/appminer/
Appminer allows you to set a watch on a favourite app so you can buy it when it gets to the right app just like appsniper. But appminer is free. also features a new apps page, A apps on sale page, a top rated apps page (that lets you see a lot more apps than the app store) and a search function where you can search by app title or keywords.

Price is right FREE. so if you don't like it heh no lose

I tried last night and had a couple problems and eventually restored 3.0 via itunes

I think my issue was 3.0 Gold Master FW rather than retail FW

Going to try again tonight.

After a few reinstall of 3.0 my kinetic scrolling lag is gone.

Cant wait for the next release to jailbreak again.

For the most part I found few apps in Cydia I really 'cant live without'

My battery life is better now but wifi and VPN still drop constantly

If they let me customize the lock screen and theme the device I'd be nearly content.

backgrounding is a nice idea but it's a clusterFK compared to S60

Has anyone come up with an iphone app that uses the GPS system to monitor how far you have travelled - so it can calculate how many calories you have used and suggest you stop and have some tea and biscuits to replenish your dissapated energy?

RunKeeper monitors distance, speed and tracks your route on a map. You can then use the data to calculate calories I guess...
