Having heard a lot about Twitter I signed up for it about 3 months ago. A lot of people said something along the lines of 'I didn't see the point at first, but then it all started to make sense.' So I have an account - I am following one guy I met at a conference. And er, that's it. I didn't see the point at first. I still don't see the point. I suppose I could evangelise a few people I know into signing up for it, but to be honest I am not sure what I should do next?

Twitter is a lot of different things to different people...
You need to follow more people, which in turn will have more people following you.
I use it to share my wit, my stupidity, interesting links that I find, announce new blog posts and generally "socialize" or cause trouble... but that's just me. You can also use it to ask questions about anything from CSS to where can you find a good coffee at 4am in Albuquerque? And your question will get circulated through the Network (if people think it's important enough) and you may get an answer via some other person you don't even know. It's been used to find missing people half a globe away, and to find out something new about your own backyard.
Twitter changes as your needs change...

Thanks Herne. I have just updated my profile and tried following a few people. I will see if I can find out anything that I couldn't find out any other way. I hope you won't mind me following you Herne - I assume you can block me if I become a nuiscance.
